Closer look at the Raptors 3–1 start in the bubble

It wouldn’t be Raptors basketball if yours truly, Peter Kaye, did not join the South of the 6ix podcast (hosted by the man, the myth, the legend, the Podfather of the Raptors Independent Media, that’s right, the one and only Adam Corsair) to discuss all things Raptors.

Side note: If you love the Raptors as much as me, then I highly suggest you make the South of the 6ix podcast part of your regular rotation. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

With 4 seeding games under our belt we discussed Lowry’s 33-point special plus LeBron being locked up in OG penitentiary; we discussed FVV’s career night versus the Heat (for what it’s worth, FVV has been the best Raptor in the bubble. Period. End of sentence. This is not up for debate); we discussed the well-balanced attack, led again by VanVleet, over the Magic plus Gasol’s ever-evolving father-son relationship with Nikola Vucevic.

We also chatted about how we need to see more from Siakam, Ibaka, Norm, and even Terence Davis. But were 3–1 halfway through the seeding games — and if you told me we would go 3–1 over the Lakers, Heat, Magic, and Celtics, I would’ve signed up for it from the get-go. So let’s not lose sight of the big picture here: the Raptors have many areas for improvement but we’re still winning 75% of our games. Not bad huh.

As always, it was a pleasure being the guest on the South of the 6ix podcast to discuss all things Raptors with Adam. I feel confident that you will enjoy this episode and that it’ll get you amped for the remainder of the seeding games and the playoffs. Give it a listen!
